The Whitefish Bay Garden club works to stimulate an interest in horticulture and the development of home gardens, beautify civic grounds, and protect natural surroundings. This is our first project with them and we are delighted that they have designed a child-friendly project to be held at Little Sprouts Play Cafe.
SNACK: Let's get the most important consideration out of the way first...YES there will be snacks.
IMPACT: Children will learn the importance of birds to our ecosystem and how they can help birds thrive! Birds returning home for the warmer months will find supplies for nest building.
PURPOSE: Help returning birds build nests in our environment so they can thrive.
ACTIVITY: Families will gather at Little Sprouts Play Cafe to listen to a story about birds, learn about how birds help the environment, and then children and parents will make welcome home bags for bird nests. Children are welcome to play at Little Sprouts during and after the project.
AGE: All ages are welcome!
