We Work TOGETHER With Our Children

Working together with our children is priority for TOAM. We believe that working hand-in-hand with our children while volunteering fosters long-term benefits. We hope our example to our children encourages a lifetime of kindness, generosity and service. .

How It Works

We typically meet monthly. Our events are scheduled to fit the needs of the Milwaukee agencies we work with and the needs of our little volunteers.  We also encourage our parents (and kids!) to create their own TOAM mission based on their passions and interests. Therefore, we do not have a set time or date that we meet on every mission. Our newsletter is delivered monthly to our TOAM families with upcoming events. We also give advance notice of our events on Facebook.

Some projects require crafts or other item prep and so we'll meet at a central location (TOAM at Home) for our first session. The following session will be community outreach, where we conduct a “toddler/kid appropriate” service activity.

We believe strongly in the power of building relationships and provide activities to give children that experience, such as our St. John's play group. These missions, which we hope to grow in the future, are ongoing with a consistent time and date to easily fit into a family's schedule.
