This is our fifth annual trick or treat event at Saint John’s on the Lake! Saint John’s is a nursing and retirement home located on the upper east side of Milwaukee. Our partnership with Saint John’s began five years ago with an invitation to attend their trick or treat event and was the very first event that Toddler’s and Kids on A Mission took part in. Our partnership together has continued to strengthen through our monthly intergenerational playgroups. Come and join us while we trick or treat with the residents at Saint John’s on the Lake!
Purpose: Allow children to interact freely with the residents. By simply showing their unique personalities, our children have a positive impact on the residents, bringing them joy and smiles!
Impact: As children learn about patience and respect they also learn that friends can be made at any age!
Activities: Caregivers and children will “take the stage” to sing a couple of Halloween songs for the residents of Saint John’s. Following our performance, children and caregivers will trick or treat throughout the large stage room where residents will be gathered. Please feel free to stay and mingle after your trick or treating has ended.
When and Where: Wednesday October 31st, 9:15am, Saint John's on the Lake, SOUTH TOWER, (1800 N Prospect Ave, MKE, WI 53202). Parking space in the “South Parking Lot" is limited. You may also consider parking on the side streets surrounding the campus. We will meet in the gallery area located just outside of the large stage room at 9:15am. We will then enter as a group into the large stage room to begin our morning together!
