We are offering this event with the Urban Ecology Center as a replacement to our usual annual participating in the UEC Spring Clean. Unfortunately this year, it had to be canceled due to snow cover.  Snow cover in late April. It's Wisconsin, after all :)

PURPOSE:  Increase natural vegetation in a green space in Milwaukee. Children will learn about the efforts of their Milwaukee community to sustain the wildlife in our local area and have a chance to join in!

IMPACT: Native plant species will be introduced to the Three Bridges Park.

ACTIVITIES: Families will plant seeds and small plants native to the area in Three Bridges Park.

WHEN: Saturday, June 9 9am-11am

WHERE:  Urban Ecology Center Menomonee Valley, 3700 W Pierce St. Milwaukee

PARTICIPANT CAP: 15 families

COST: No cost. Bring gloves/trowels if you can! Afterwards, if you are interested Prairie Future Seed Company will be selling over 60 different species of prairie, savanna and woodland perennials native to Southeast Wisconsin. A portion of the profits from the sale will go to the Urban Ecology Center.
